증상

git clone 시 repository 의 URL 이 https 일 경우 다음과 같은 에러 발생

Initialized empty Git repository in /home/lesstif/work/util-script/.git/
error: The requested URL returned error: 401 Unauthorized while accessing https://mygit-server/user/proj.git/info/refs

fatal: HTTP request failed

 

해결

RHEL/CentOS 6 에 있는 1.7.x 대의 git 을 사용하면 발생함

  1. 현재 git 버전 확인

    $ git --version
git version 1.7.1
    CODE
  2. RHEL/CentOS 6에 git 1.8 설치하기 을 참고하여 git upgrade 후 해결되었는지 확인
